Norm,Nutrition is about habit. So I suggest starting small by changing a few things and then working your way into it. (i.e. don't quickly alter your diet as that can affect your training. Mostly I'm talking about caloric intake) A good start would simply be to add a little more vegetables and fruit to your diet. And choose whole grains a little more often. It's so simple, but very key, especially if you can't affort expensive supplements.Nate

Actually, it's because I couldn't resist peanuts before bed. :p Dose of reality: 1 lb of fat = 3500 kcal. To lose 1 lb/week you must consume 500 kcal less per day than you burn. Ouch! Extra 1 hr of tempo (per day) on the trainer should do it.

Nutrition is sooo over rated! It's really simple just follow this...eat a lot, vary the fat and processed food groups, limit all fruits and vegetables and most of all remember to to pre-load before a race (custard donuts should do) and consume recovery nutrients high in cholesterol immediately after... This should put you over the top...
